The Made2Manage job order is a sophisticated tracking tool for both customer and internal orders that helps you manage job orders in a way that fits your business.
You can quickly and easily create job orders in many ways: from a sales order, from an existing job order, from a job order template, or from scratch if you want. You can also create job orders using a master job order queue or by answering material requirements planning (MRP) action messages.
Creating a job order automatically drives material requirements. After a job order is opened, the job order directs purchasing to buy the needed material. When a job is released, it tells production personnel to issue material from stock or to manufacture subcomponents.
At any time during the production process, you can put a job order on hold, change it to accommodate last-minute modifications, or even cancel it. Throughout the production process, Made2Manage tracks original estimated costs from the quotation and sales order, comparing them to actual costs accumulated on the job order. This estimate versus actual feature lets you see variances at any time in the production process. Made2Manage also provides an online job status window to provide real-time tracking of production, material and cost status.
You can quickly and easily view job travelers, material pick lists and labor entries. In addition, you can embed scanned photos, digital videos, and many other files to better describe the order. You can also automatically launch your CAD system to view a drawing or designate CNC file paths.
Made2Manage automates tedious job-related tasks. For example, you can set a system flag so that Made2Manage automatically completes job orders when the total required quantity has been completed and place stock-manufactured components into the job order queue when they have fallen below the safety stock level. |
