Made2Manage gives you robust tools for managing inventory-related transactions. Inventory control in Made2Manage is designed to manage all inventory-related transactions. Identifying information about each standard part is contained in the item master. BOMs, routings, production schedules and other application areas throughout Made2Manage use the information contained within the item master.
All of the information related to an item is logically grouped together on six convenient tabs. Clicking on a tab gives you access to the master, cost, vendor, engineering, advanced planning and user-defined information on individual windows. Each item master record allows you to enter vital information, including part number, description, location, lead time, inspection required, freeform text, and many other additional fields to address your specific requirements.
Real-time visibility of your parts enables you to make accurate decisions for proper inventory management. The item master shows you each part’s locations. A single tab on the item master window shows you quantities on hand, in inspection, in process, on order, committed and available. You can even track inventory that has been set aside or is generally unavailable for use in production with the non-nettable inventory quantities feature. Working in conjunction with your M2M ERP inventory data, M2M Advanced Scheduling will consider non-nettable inventory conditions so you can create more precise production schedules.
With the material availability report, you can easily see the detail behind the summary inventory numbers. You can review where the demand came from, which purchase order or job order was used to supply the demand, and the promised delivery date.
In addition, the item master has an automatic link to a history of open and closed quotations, purchase orders, job orders and sales orders for a part. The item master also automatically links to BOMs and routings, as well as to a list of parts on hand by location without having to re-enter information. Quickly and easily perform everyday inventory transactions using the inventory transaction window. You can scrap inventory, move inventory from location to location, move parts from WIP to inventory, transfer parts from a job back into inventory, and more. |
